About Me

Music has always been an important part of my life.  I come from a very musical family, which has given me a love of various styles and genres.

I first sang in a band at the age of 12. Ever since then, I’ve been privileged to be part of many bands, both here on the Island as well as the Mainland.

Alongside performing as a singer myself, I lead the ‘Melodic Choir’ here on the Island.  I am so proud of our Choir and our many achievements!  Our main aim is to raise as much money as possible for Island Charities, whilst enjoying singing together in our performances.  I have always loved the harmonic sound of a Choir: leading this is a real honour.

As a Qualified Vocal Coach, it is also my pleasure to teach private lessons, where my students can develop and embrace their voice. We work on improving vocal tone and confidence. I ensure that my lessons are engaging and enjoyable, whilst being educational too. I prefer not to teach grades, but instead tech more of a ‘fun-to-sing’ approach, in a relaxed and amiable manner.

Lessons are normally an hour and students often reap benefits from regular sessions, either on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

My main emphasis is to help my students to achieve a better standard of singing. Therefore, we work on increasing range, breathing techniques, pitching, and timing, to name just a few aspects!

I am very fortunate to teach both beginners and more advanced singers, who are already working ‘on the circuit’ in pubs and clubs.

I am very lucky to have the facility to record vocals in my own studio and I provide this service to many of my students. Recording is such a fun and enjoyable experience, and the end result is very professional and rewarding.

I believe that singing is one of the best hobbies you can have; I would love to help you to find the joy that singing can bring you! Whilst doing this, I can also show you how to protect that vital instrument – your voice.
